Visitors to the beautiful Tutukaka Coast can now enjoy a direct road from State Highway 1 on the northern side of Whangarei leading directly to the Tutukaka Coast. Follow these directions or click here for a map:
From SH1 (from South):
Follow State Highway 1 all the way through Whangarei. 1.5km after Kensington Avenue (Kensington Stadium) you will drive over railway tracks. After 400m turn right at the Puna Rere Drive traffic lights (sign posted Tikipunga/Tutukaka Coast). Continue driving straight ahead for 2 minutes, going straight ahead through 2 roundabouts. Tutukaka Marina is 22 km further along the road after the 2nd roundabout.
From SH1 (from North):
Follow State Highway 1 towards Whangarei until the first set of traffic lights (Puna Rere Drive) – turn left at the traffic lights and continue straight ahead for 2 minutes. Go straight ahead through 2 roundabouts. Tutukaka Marina is 22 km further along the road after the 2nd roundabout.
